Here I am writing the last newsletter of the year 2002 – Where did the year go? Well, with 2003 just around the corner, we, the Committee want to wish you and all a very “Healthy and Happy Holiday Season” and “2003 New Year”. Our last Bingo for the year was December 11th, 12 noon at the Bowlero. We’ll have bowling there every Thursday at 1:00 p.m. and we’ll also be playing cards every Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Bowlero. Remember you must be a paid up retiree member to attend any of our club events – For more information, please call our Financial Secretary, Erma Gorecki at 262-781-8951. Those of you with December birthdays and/or anniversaries, please bring your treats to our January meeting. Your yearly $3.00 fee for monthly meeting door prize drawings has to be paid in January. To enter give your name and $3.00 to our Sergeant at Arms, Geri Kunda. Please let us remember our sick, shut-ins and retirees in nursing homes – Let’s pay them a call or visit when we can. Our get-well wishes go out to Frank Kindness, Jan Zelmer, and Donald Jewell. Once again, we cannot forget to thank Briggs and Stratton for all of their yearly help in keeping our Briggs Retiree Club going and to PACE Local 7-232 for putting my monthly write up on the website – Thanks a million! – All our Best Wishes for a “Happy Holiday Season and Happy New year!” from all the Briggs retirees. We, the Committee hope more of you retirees come and join our club. Meet some of your old friends and make some new ones. Make sure to check out our monthly report for our coming events.
