Burleigh/Menomonee Falls Plants

1st & 3rd shifts

    The Bargaining Committee has been meeting with the Die Cast Division to try and resolve some of the many outstanding issues. Recently an agreement was reached on the issue of job preference for members asked to work outside of their job classification prior to the start of the shift during the week or outside of their job classification on weekends, within their department.
    Effective December 11th, the Die Cast will recognize the procedure that is followed throughout the rest of the Corporation. That procedure allows members from within the department to select jobs from the main pool prior to the start of the shift, recognizing their seniority. 
    The company is insisting on a 30 day trial for this procedure. If this procedure does not work out the union will continue to pursue the matter through the grievance procedure.

Pilot Area

    The productivity reward bonus for the period ending in October will be payable on December 13th. The amount of the bonus was not yet known at the time this article was written.

Service Divison

    Department 320, the kitting area, that is currently at the Burleigh Plant will be moving to the M.F. Plant at the end of the year.
