Nowak & Olivares Elected at Strattec

Al Olivares

At Strattec, Dennis Nowak was elected to his fourth term as a Bargaining Committee Member and Al Olivares was elected to his first term as a Bargaining Committee member in the March 8th General Election.

They will serve as members of the Strattec Bargaining Committee for the next two years. The Bargaining Committee also includes Grievance Rep Karl Schneider and President Greg Gorecki.

In the General Election Dennis Nowak came in first with 186 votes, Al Olivares came in second, narrowly defeating Nancy Lesniewski with 153 votes to her 150 votes. Debbie Figueroa came in fourth with 133 votes.

In the primary election, incumbent Al Belanger was eliminated when he failed to finish in the top four.

While this committee does not face negotiations in the next two years, they will have a full plate with the movement of jobs to Mexico and a growing load of grievances to be resolved.
