Leadership Conference provides useful information

In early September (8-11), our local was one of over one-hundred locals to attend the Region X Leadership Conference. This conference was hosted by the International in Stevens Point. It was a very informative conference for everyone, offering workshops ranging from Trustees Education to Collective Bargaining and Labor Law for Trade Unionists. These were only a few of the eleven workshops offered over the course of the three days.

The workshop I was in, Collective Bargaining, was very insightful and at the same time a rude awakening. It allowed some of us that have not had a chance to be in contract negotiation the opportunity to see how cold and ruthless companies can be when negotiating a contract.
