Community Services Schedule

               Every year the Community Services Committee has various fund raising activities for our members, who are in need, climaxing with the Holiday Drive. At Briggs, the Company supports many of the functions.

               We would like you to have a schedule of the up-coming events:

November

bullet

Nov. 12 – 13 –                Committee will call and interview applicants for the Thanksgiving baskets. The baskets will go to those who need help the most. Please be home between 3:00 and 6:00 to answer the phone.

Nov. 19 –                Distribute Thanksgiving food baskets at Bowlero. Watch for bulletins in the plant that will give you the correct times to pick them up.

Nov. 26 – Dec. 7 –             Take calls, again at the Union Office (463-7425) for those in need for Christmas food baskets, toys and clothing that have been collected from the Holiday Drive.

Dec. 7 –                Holiday Drive collection and deadline for calls applying for Christmas Distribution

Dec. 10 – 11 –               Committee will call those who have applied for Christmas food and toys To determine who needs help the most. Please be home between 3:00 and 6:00 to answer the phone.

Dec. 14 –                Final collection of the Holiday Drive

Dec. 17 –                Distribution of Christmas baskets at Bowlero. Please watch bulletins for the correct times to pick them up.

               Please watch the bulletin boards for notification of all the up-coming events for accurate times. We expect to have more people in need this year because of all the layoffs.

               Please be generous with your donations this year. Many of our union sisters and brothers will have run out of unemployment and we would all like to help make their holiday joyful occasions. Thank you and God Bless all of you.
