Steward elections will be held in June

            Steward Elections will be held in all departments in June. In some areas, departments will be combined due to low numbers of members. Stewards are elected for a term of two years.

            Notices of the nomination and election of the stewards will be posted in all departments in June. Elections will be held by grievance reps or officers, assisted by chief stewards or stewards from other areas when needed.

            If you have any questions or concerns regarding a Steward Election, contact your grievance rep. The Executive Board will make the final decisions, with the reps. recommendations, regarding combining departments and the number of Stewards.

Chief Steward Elections June 28th

            At the June 28th Steward Training meeting, all chief stewards will be elected by the stewards in each plant, shift or area. We have four (4) chief stewards - one (1) at West Allis, one (1) at Strattec, one (1) on 1st/3rd shift Burleigh/Menomonee Falls and one (1) on 2nd shift Burleigh/Menomonee Falls.

            Chief Stewards are elected by and from the stewards. Stewards  must inform their grievance rep. in writing if they wish to run for chief steward. This notice must be submitted no later than the day prior to the election that will be held at the Steward Training Meeting on June 28th.
