Nomination and Election will take place for Recording Secretary to fill the vacancy of Karen Clark, who is retiring January 1, 2009

Nominations will take place for the following positions:

Trustee at Large, Strattec Grievance Rep, Briggs Grievance Rep, 2 Briggs Bargaining Committee Members

   Members are urged to Attend this Meeting.


 

Briggs Retiree Club

            With warm weather coming, let us all get outside and enjoy it! The next get together will be our Luncheon and Dance at Hart Park in the Muellner Building. Doors open at 10:00 a.m. and the Luncheon is at 12 noon with dancing to follow. There will be free refreshments and door prizes. It will be fun for all!

            Remember that you must be a paid up member to attend any of our Club events. Call Erma Gorecki at 781-8951 for more information. Bring your Club card to all our events. You do not bring your birthday or anniversary treats to three of the events, the two at Hart Park and the Christmas Party at Alioto’s.

            Our two Summer Picnics are on June 20th and July 18th. Both are at the Bowlero at 10:00 a.m. with free refreshments and door prizes. Bingo will be played. We will be selling tickets for these events on April 19th at our Club meeting. Your cost is $3.00 each for chicken lunch. No card playing on these days. Cards will be played on other Tuesdays at 12 noon. No prizes will be awarded during the Summer. All these events are also held at the Bowlero. Do bring your birthday or anniversary treats on our Picnic dates.

            We welcome all our new retirees. Come and join our Club. Meet some of your old friends and make new ones. You will be glad you did.

            Let us remember our sick and shut-in members, Dolores Perez and Doris Reinke. Our sympathy to the family of Alma Hausladen. Also a past member of our Club who lived in Florida, Terry Seagraves, has passed away. Let us remember his family in our prayers.
