With March just around the corner, let’s hope that Spring comes with it. It’s time for some summer weather. I’m sure we all agree to that.

Our February bingo and meeting was enjoyed by many. Now, all you new retirees and regulars members plan on coming to our new events.

Our Entertainment Committee, Marcy Gocel, is planning a casino trip to Oneida on Wednesday, March 28th. Bus pick-up will be at State Fair Park at 7:00 A.M. and then at Hardees in Menomonee Falls at 7:15 A.M. The trip will cost $50.00 which will be returned at the casino along with a $4.00 lunch ticket. The bus will leave the casino at 3:00 P.M. to return to Menomonee Falls and State Fair Park.

The $50.00 must be paid ahead to Marcy Gocel. Call her if you have any questions about this event. (414-774-5230) You can also pay her at our coming March meeting and bingo session.

On Wednesday, April 18th, we are having our breakfast brunch at the Legion Post in Elm Grove. Doors will open at 9:00 A.M., brunch from 10:00 to noon. Our regular meeting and social activities will follow. The members price for brunch is $2.00, paid in advance at our bingo or meeting. You may bring a guest. The cost for a guest is $5.50, also payable in advance.

The breakfast menu will include made to order omelets, fried or scrambled eggs, French toast, ground beef in cream sauce, ham, potatoes au gratin, fresh fruit, buttermilk biscuits, orange juice, coffee as well as free beer and soda. A great breakfast! Let’s all plan on coming. You should also bring your birthday cakes on this day.

Also coming on Thursday, April 26th, at Briggs and Stratton door W15, there will be a spaghetti dinner for the retirees along with a book fair. The cost is $3.95 including bread sticks or $4.40 with beverage included. (You can bring you container to take your leftovers home.) Do not get there before 10:45A.M. Serving is at 11:00 A.M. Some of the proceeds will go to help community services. (our fellow members) Let’s all help this upcoming event. Thanks to Dolores Higgins for her caring and planning it all.

Our get well wishes to Melvin Klockow, Katherina Drawisch, Pat Koloski, Fred Holtz and Virginia Werner.

Hope to see you all at our coming events. Remember — “If you love life, life will love you back. God bless.
