With all the moves taking place on the shop floor, there seems to be a considerable amount of confusion. It appears that almost daily the situation changes as another rumor starts that gets everyone riled up. Contrary to popular belief, the Company does not inform the Union prior to making decisions that affect our people and their jobs. So if you, the members, feel as if you have been violated in any way during these constantly changing times, first check your contract book. Then consult your steward if you find the area in which you believe you were violated. This makes it a little easier for your steward to better assist you and tackle the problem even quicker.

By the way, I would like to thank all the stewards for the great job they're doing during these times. I would also like to congratulate the new stewards and wish them the best of luck while fighting the good fight on our shop floor. Everyone is aware of all these changes and the emotions that people have while dealing with them. With that being said, I would like to remind membership that their elected Union officials from the stewards to the President are on their side trying to fight for what is correct under our existing contract. Finally, one last reminder, your Union representatives are humans too with emotions that are equal to yours. We must work together and not let our feelings get the better of us. By doing that, hopefully we can survive these times and continue our fight for fair wages and benefits for all of our members!
