Delegates to be elected at meeting

Ten members vie for seven convention delegate spots

          Ten members were nominated to be delegates for Local 7-232 at the Wisconsin State AFL-CIO Convention in Milwaukee from October 2nd through October 4th.

          Seven delegates will be elected from the ten at the August 24th membership meeting. Local 7-232 will send a total of nine delegates to this convention. In addition to the seven delegates elected at the meeting, the President and Financial Secretary-Treasurer are automatic delegates to this convention. At the May membership meeting, membership determined that we would send the nine delegates to this convention. Local 7-232 is entitled to send about fourteen delegates to this convention.

          The election of delegates will take place at the Membership meeting at AMF Bowlero, 117th & Burleigh, at 12:30 and 3:30 on Thursday, August 24th.

          The members nominated are as follows in the order they will appear on the ballot:

6.       Karl Schneider

7.       Mike Foster

8.       Mike Merrill

9.       Al Belanger

          All members in good standing are eligible to vote in this election. Members should vote for no more than seven candidates, or their ballot will be void.

          This convention will offer information on important issues for workers throughout Wisconsin. The direction for Labor in Wisconsin for the next two years will be set at this convention.
